Monsanto passing DuPont in corn?
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the surge in corn demand, Monsanto has raised its annual profit forecast after second-quarter earnings rose 23 percent. Increased planting caused Monsanto to sell out of its “triple-stack” seeds.
But, more surprisingly, is that Monsanto’s gain, the largest one-year gain ever, may allow the seed maker to pull even or pass DuPont’s Pioneer unit in U.S. corn, according to this Bloomberg article.

This demonstrates that farmers have faith in genetically modified seeds. It’s unfortunate that developing countries are not enjoying the fruits of genetically modified organisms (GMOs)because of bad politics.

I am not an expert on the problems of Africa or other developing countries by any means, but it seems that I have read or heard stories of the difficulty of operating in Africa due to political and social situations.
I am sure many factors are involved, but sometimes it just seems absurd in this age that people in some countries don’t have access to enough food.
